Interior Designer Notes On This 1990s Bathroom Remodel

This project's scope was to bring the 1990s-style bathroom to a modern-day design. The homeowners wanted to extend the existing walking closet to an elegant dressing room. The dressing room was achieved by expanding space taken from the master bedroom. A set of mirrored glass doors framed in intricate molding with crystal glass doorknobs was added. The closet was the entry into the master bedroom, which required complete demolition.

We used Carrera marble in a basket weave pattern for the bathroom and shower floor. It seamlessly works with a basket weave pattern area rug between the double wall-mounted custom vanities.

The vanities were painted in Benjamin Moore's Bright White. Countertops on the vanities were Silestone White Zeus.

The vanity mirrors Included a LED light system SEUR with state-of-the-art control. All plumbing fixtures were Kohler.

The 4 x 4' walk-in shower also incorporated a bench seat in White Zeus Silestone. The shower door enclosure is a three-quarter inch glass frameless with chrome hardware.

This space also has electric radiant floor heat, LED downlighting, Panasonic exhaust fans, and LED lighting in the vanity toe-kick and is wired with Sonos speakers and an amplifier.
